The Capital Fund is a £50 million venture capital fund which backs fast-growing, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Greater London. Initial investments can be up to £250,000 and the fund has the ability to invest a further £250,000 after six months or more. In some circumstances, alongside other new investors, The Capital Fund can follow on its investments with up to £5m in total in a single company.

The Capital Fund was launched in 2002 and is managed by YFM Venture Finance Limited. The fund is the largest of the nine Regional Venture Capital Funds and has a mixture of public and private sector investors. The primary objective of The Capital Fund is to maximise returns to our investors by investing in SME companies with high growth potential and management teams capable of delivering that growth.

The Capital Fund is managed by YFM Venture Finance Limited. YFM Venture Finance is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and is part of the YFM Group. Trading names used in the past by the London office include London Fund Managers, Yorkshire Venture Finance and Yorkshire Fund Managers.
