The Grant for Research and Development (formerly SMART) is a DTI initiative that provides grants to help individuals and small and medium-sized businesses to research and develop technologically innovative products and processes.

The Capital Fund is managed by YFM Venture Finance Limited. YFM Venture Finance is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and is part of the YFM Group.
